Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, also known professionally under the other name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist signing for J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first album she released for the label on Oct. 21 2016 titled Pho where she gained fame. Shea Butter Baby released her first studio album 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet back in 2012 after she launched her debut mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography, in 2013.
