Selena
She was a singer, performer and designer and broke down barriers in the industry of music. She was both an American-Mexican traditional performer who merged both genres with a unique approach. She also brought amazing Tejano music to an affluent crowd. The same way many people mourn a star who died too young, her death was not a good time and ended a growing career. To stop her accomplishments from being forgotten many of her fans in these past few years have been motivated to do even more. Selena, the Tejano artist who was tragically shot to death during a shooting incident, has sparked a Latino response that could be thought of as similar to the reactions to Elvis Presley's and John Lennon's deaths. Selena was a wildly popular singer among Latinos in North America. But her music touched both the young and the old. Selena is an edgy sexually attractive performer who is sometimes described by the name of Latina Madonna. But, she's also an admired role model since off stage Selena has an amiable and family-focused attitude. She also actively participates in anti-drug programs.
